Schools went comprehensive in 1972 and the boys from Bath Street and the Girls from Highfields Bakewell all descended on Lady Manners to make one big happy family..

The Secondary Modern Schools

I was one of those who unfortunately failed my eleven plus and went to Bath Street Boys School for three years before we went comprehensive.

Though I have nothing available about the girls school, there are one or two interesting things to see about the boys.
